Service, spare parts or a complete unit
The listed offering covers plate heat-exchanger service and maintenance, heat-transfer plates, gaskets and new complete plate heat exchangers. Identify whether the enquiry is for onboard service, workshop attention, parts only or an entire unit so that the quotation addresses the right requirement.
- Plate heat-exchanger service and maintenance enquiries.
- Supply of heat-transfer plates.
- Supply of gaskets.
- Supply of new complete plate heat exchangers.
Identify the actual configuration
Provide the nameplate, model and existing plate or gasket references, together with the equipment duty. Plate count, materials, connections and the installed arrangement should be checked as well as the model. If a reference is unavailable, clear photographs and existing drawings are useful starting points.
Part suitability, source, supporting documents and service conditions are confirmed during the enquiry. An equipment brand and manufacturer authorisation are separate matters; a general equipment name does not establish a particular manufacturer-equivalent maintenance standard.
Describe the operating problem
For service work, describe leakage, a change in heat-transfer performance or other symptoms, and attach inspection records. Information on the fluids, pressure, temperature and shutdown window helps define the requirement. Identify missing data rather than assuming a value.
Workshop or onboard scope, dismantling responsibilities, supplied parts and acceptance arrangements need agreement for the project. For a complete replacement unit, also provide installation space, connection requirements and existing equipment details. An external appearance or abbreviated description is insufficient to establish a suitable replacement.
