Overhauls and on-site mechanical work
The service scope includes main and auxiliary engine overhauls, cylinder maintenance and bearing inspection informed by operating data. Port, drydock or workshop arrangements depend on access, equipment condition and the vessel schedule.
- On-site boring and laser alignment.
- Crankshaft dismantling and renewal, with related mechanical work assessed for the job.
- Reconditioning of pistons, cylinder heads and exhaust valve spindles; motor rewinding and generator repair.
- Planned engine maintenance and enquiries concerning associated machinery such as pumps.
Engine and control-system scope
Engine materials cover Everllence and WinGD series and identify work on MC-C conventional engines, ME-C electronically controlled engines and ME-C GI dual-fuel models. The engine, control version and proposed work need individual confirmation.
Main-engine automation, pneumatic controls, remote control and Alfa lubricator requirements can accompany the mechanical enquiry. A maker or model list describes service scope; it does not establish company-wide authorisation for every maker and version.
Test benches and component repairs
The Zhoushan engine-service materials identify HPS pump, FIVA / ELFI / ELVA and MPC board test benches, alongside laser cladding and precision machining equipment. Confirm the part number, test conditions and required reporting before sending a component.
- HPS pump testing and high-pressure servo-system component assessment.
- Testing and repair of FIVA / ELFI / ELVA electrohydraulic units.
- MPC control-board simulation, diagnosis and repair.
- Repair assessment for shafts, cylinder heads, piston crowns and piston rods.
Commissioning, upgrades and work planning
Commissioning, performance improvement and emission-control upgrades are also listed service areas. A proposal depends on the installed configuration, maker requirements and acceptance conditions; a model name alone cannot establish a performance or emissions outcome.
State whether shutdown is possible, the available work window and onboard restrictions. Fault investigation and a planned overhaul can require different arrangements and workshop interfaces.
Engine information to send
Email tech@grand-ocean.hk for technical coordination. If inspection results are unavailable, start with the symptoms and records you have.
- Maker, model, serial number, control version and component references.
- Symptoms, alarms, operating data, photographs and previous repairs.
- Requested maintenance, overhaul, testing or commissioning scope.
- Port, schedule, shutdown window and owner or class requirements.
